As a member of Sea Shadows Inn Management LLC, the Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for providing quality and timely cleaning standards and practices, to support a world class guest experience.

  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping staff
  • Inspect rooms and public/common areas for cleanliness
  • Ensure cleanliness meets hotel standards
  • Educate/train staff on most efficient cleaning methods to maximize productivity and maintain standards
  • Assist in handling employees’ questions/needs
  • Relieve various Housekeeping positions to cover for employee meal breaks
  • Assist with Lost & Found inquiries
  • Maintain inventory and request new supplies as necessary
  • Assist in handling guest complaints and try to resolve quickly and efficiently
  • Keep the Housekeeping Manager and General Manager informed of day-to-day operations related matters
  • Assist all departments that call in for related Housekeeping matters
  • Report maintenance repairs
  • Assist with managing bio hazard, sharps, and MIIPP program
  • Act as role model for Housekeeping staff by practicing respect and professionalism, and by demonstrating support for the team
  • Identify areas of improvement and suggest new, more effective methods
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Knowledge in all aspects of cleaning rooms, use of appropriate cleaning products, and most efficient cleaning methods
  •  Ability to quickly problem solve and make sensible decisions
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English; secondary languages preferred for communication with ESL guests and staff alike
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively implement written and verbal instructions
  • Deal successfully with a variety of individuals from various socioeconomic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds
  • Strong team orientation and ability to work with a variety of departments to accomplish assigned tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and recognition by others as a respected member of the team
  • Possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask
  • Scheduling flexibility to meet operational needs
  • Follow Company policies and procedures as established in the Employee Handbook Job Description

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Ability to use repetitive hand and body motions on a regular basis such as grasping, writing,
  • typing, listening, hearing, and visual acuity
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time on varying ground levels with stairs on a
  • regular basis
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more on a consistent basis and to bend, stoop, stretch, climb and
  • squat frequently to fulfill a range of manual tasks
