The Partnership seeks a mission-driven and strategic-minded individual to join the Partnership External Relations Team for the duration of a 2-year contract with possible extensions thereafter. The primary responsibilities for this role will be supporting the Partnership’s efforts to influence education policy and practice to support high-need schools.

The Manager of Strategy & Growth will work to advance the Partnership’s strategic growth and impact. Specific duties include:

  • Developing resources and tools to codify the Partnership’s school transformation model

  • Developing a framework and strategic options for external growth

  • Managing the implementation of that growth strategy
     

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

  • 5+ years of experience in an education or professional setting

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; can adapt when managing multiple, shifting priorities; ease at managing competing demands and determining priorities independently

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate complex ideas simply and succinctly

  • Strong computer and technology skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, Google docs, and interest in and ability to learn new platforms

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other experienced professionals including school principals, teachers, Partnership colleagues and external partners

  • Ability to maintain discretion regarding confidential matters

  • Is a true team player; willing to support team members as needed on the External Relations Team and across the organization for high-priority projects or events

  • Strong belief in the Partnership’s mission, approach, and core values

  • Reflective, life-long learner

  • Hold a valid California driver’s license

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This is a year-round, full-time, 2-year position. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.  The Partnership offers a competitive benefits package, including health, vision and dental insurance, and a 403(b) retirement program.
