Role Summary 

This full-time hourly position will be responsible for working with Horticulturist to develop project timeline and report progress, Supervise construction workers, Be the liaison between construction workers and supervisors, ensure that a project is adequately staffed, Assign tasks as required, Ensure that the project is staying on or under budget, working directly under the supervision of the horticulturalist.  Occasionally (mowing, weed-eating, edging, spraying, mulching, tree and limb removal, plugging, seeding, blowing as needed, pruning, etc.), work with the grounds maintenance foreman to help delegate tasks within the department, supervise on-site jobs and assist with event setup and breakdown when we are required to do them, snow removal, installation of new landscaping beds, application of fertilizer and chemicals as directed by horticulturist and golf superintendent. Other tasks as assigned. Some weekends required and overtime should be expected during our busy season. Night-time and holiday hours may be required.

Fertilizer spreader

Weed-eater and attachments

Hedge trimmer and other pruning equipment

Hand tools

Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently for long periods of time, Run skid steer, back-hoe, gator,  Toro, operate stick shift, and learn to run any other equipment necessary to complete the tasks at hand

Some weekends required

Experience in record keeping for chemical applications and budgets

Qualified to run the above equipment

Experience with landscape installation

Experience applying chemicals and fertilizer (preferred, but willingness to learn considered)
