JOB OBJECTIVE: As a member of the Post Ranch Inn and Sierra Mar Management team, the Executive Chef will lead the culinary operations and dish conceptions to ensure a world class guest experience. Core responsibilities include, management of all kitchen staff to ensure optimal department efficiency, productivity and quality standards; keeping all menus and outlets approachable and up to date on culinary trends for the enjoyment of our diverse guests; manage culinary operations that service guests 3 times a day, with in room dining, 365 days a year.
Our Executive Chef is an integral part of the property and must present well with guests, and feel comfortable in public representations of Post Ranch and Sierra Mar Restaurant.The right candidate will have effective verbal and written communication skills, will be able to self reflect, and provide and receive constructive criticism. This position will require someone who has strong personal development and coaching skills, to make impactful and effective decisions regarding finances, profitability, service, waste control, safety, and staffing.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Must have culinary school degree and/or equivalent work experience, with solid business and computer acumen
Must have a proven track record of guest satisfaction and at least 3 years of Executive Chef and/or Executive Sous Chef/Chef De Cuisine experience within a hotel restaurant setting
