JOB OBJECTIVE: 
The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department, supporting onboarding, employee records, recruitment, and compliance in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This role serves as a key point of contact for day-to-day HR processes.

JOB‌ ‌FUNCTIONS:‌ 
  • Coordinate and execute new hire onboarding, including completion of employment paperwork and accurate data entry.
  • Create, maintain, and audit active and inactive employee files, including personnel, medical, and Workers’ Compensation records, in compliance with record retention requirements
  • Maintain I-9 documentation and EEO-1 Self-Identification Form records in accordance with federal and state regulations
  • Process employee data changes in Paychex, including address updates, tax withholdings, and employment status changes
  • Respond to and assist with internal and external HR-related inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships and clear communication with employees and management across all departments
  • Generate HR-related reports and metrics as assigned
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support HR operations and organizational needs
WORK‌ ‌SKILLS:‌ 
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills within established levels of authority
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred to support effective communication with staff

MINIMUM‌ ‌EDUCATION‌ ‌&‌ ‌EXPERIENCE:‌ ‌ ‌

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in an HR environment
  • Knowledge of essential HR and Payroll laws/practices
WORK SCHEDULE & LOCATION:
This is a full-time, on-site position working a five (5) day workweek, for eight (8) hours per day. The role will be primarily based on property in Big Sur, with some workdays at the Carmel office as needed to support business operations. Specific days and locations may vary based on operational needs.


Pay range for the Human Resources Coordinator position is $26.60 - $29.24 per hour, full-time.
