Duties/Responsibilities:            The Residential Associate will assist in providing a safe, secure, supervised 24-hour environment for 8 women in the residential setting to aid in treatment and recovery from substance use.  Residential Associate will provide crisis services, instruction in daily living skills, ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations.  The Residential Associate will be responsible for maintaining accurate shift records and notes regarding individuals assisted. 
 
Skills/Competencies:       This position requires organizational skills, as well as knowledge and skills in coordination of client care.  Must possess a philosophy and a willingness to work with women seeking treatment and recovery from substance use disorders.  Must possess the willingness to acquire the knowledge/training in the field of mental health/substance abuse that is necessary to perform job responsibilities as related to crisis management.  Must possess personal philosophy that those individuals suffering from substance use disorders can improve and develop necessary skills that will allow them to function independently.  They must be proficient in written and oral communications kills.  Must have knowledge of addiction and recovery process.  If in recovery from a substance use disorder, must attest to a minimum of 2 years current abstinence.
