Location: Concord, CA
Hours: Flexible schedule; Monday-Friday (Approximately 15 hours per week)
Compensation: $22/hour

The Bilingual Family Support Specialist is a part of the Asian Family Resource Center program (AFRC). This position works to provide outreach and support to Vietnamese-speaking adults with disabilities and their families. Individuals in this position help to assist and support program participants on various life skills in the community or at the program site.

Activities include:
- Providing individualized support to program participants in a confidential, non-judgmental, safe setting.
- Conducting group training on topics such as parenting and life skills.
- Educating participants about the service and support system and facilitates access to services.
- Formatting training and outreach flyers and resource directories, maintaining mailing list and database.
- Participating in community outreach and training activities.
- Prepares and submits all required program documentation, adhering to all confidentiality policies
- Maintains a professional image and boundaries when speaking with families, outside personnel, and other professionals on a daily basis.
- Demonstrates respect for cultural and individual differences when interacting with families, outside personnel and other professionals.
- Ensures safe environmental conditions.
- Maintains cooperative working relationships with others.
- Bilingual, Verbal and written fluency in English and Vietnamese required
- Direct experience as a parent or primary caregiver of a child with special needs required
- Proficiency with technology such as Gmail, G-Suite, internet, Microsoft Office etc.

- Valid CA driver license and good driving record
