VistAbility's Access Program is looking for responsible, caring, dedicated individuals with experience with IHSS or as a direct support professional. Experience supporting people with restricted health conditions is a plus. 

Our Community Access Specialists provide home and community-based day services for adults who have developmental disabilities and significant health conditions. Known as the "fun and games committee", the Access program provides caregiving and enrichment activities (board games, music, arts and crafts, etc.) to the homes of participants. 

Applicants should be willing to:
- drive an agency van
- provide extensive personal care assistance, such as feeding and changing
- interact in a positive, supportive manner with people who have multiple and severe disabilities

CNAs and DSPs are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Requirements:  
  • Valid CA driver license and good driving record required.
  • Must meet State Licensing requirements involving health screening and Dept. of Justice clearance including fingerprinting and background check.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination including booster - medical/religious exemption requests will be considered 
  • Indoor masking is required at all program sites when in contact with any staff and/or participants

9-4:30pm in Richmond area
8-3:30pm in Antioch area
9-4:30 in Concord area

Compensation: $17.00 per hour plus great benefits!

Benefits for Part time and Full Time work hours include:

· Paid vacation, Sick Days, and 11 paid Holidays plus a paid "holiday" on the employee's birthday.

Our vacation accrual rates are generous: 1st and 2nd year of employment = 2 weeks vacation a year; 3rd and 4th year of employment = 3 weeks vacation a year; 5th to 9th year of employment = 4 weeks vacation a year; the 10th year onward = 5 weeks vacation a year.
