Ranger Die is hiring an experienced Die Maker to join our team on day shift, which runs from 6 am - 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday, with overtime often available on Fridays.

SUMMARY
The primary function of the Die Maker is to manage the build of Class A dies from concept through
runoff for the customer and make and repair other parts for customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Build dies that produce parts to the exact specifications of customers and Ranger.
• Build and repair parts for customers as required.
• Assign and supervise work of helpers for each project; provide clear
instructions and expectations for helpers to accurately complete work on time.
• Serve as a mentor and trainer for Apprentice Die Makers.
• Document engineering changes using Ranger’s procedures and provide the Engineering
department with the numbers needed to machine parts to specifications.
• Communicate accurate and timely job status updates to the Customer Service Manager
and Tool Room Manager.
• Work to control scrap/waste of materials and supplies; follow Ranger procedure for
documenting scrap material.
• Maintain and update the Job Log with job-related documents.
• Monitor build hours and processes regularly.
• Maintain the work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and orderly condition and follow
prescribed safety regulations.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education – High School diploma or equivalent
Experience – Successful completion of Department of Labor apprenticeship program or
minimum of 7 years of experience as a Die Maker trainee
License(s)/Registration(s)/Certification(s) –Journeyman Die Maker certification; must be able
to successfully complete training to receive permits for both forklifts and overhead cranes
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities – knowledge of advanced math; ability to read and write English;
ability to judge spatial relationships and use logic (common sense); analytical skills; mechanical
skills; ability to work well with minimal direct supervision, ability to work well with others; effective
time management skills

Pay is based on experience; the range for this position is $23.95 - 31.90.
