The Maintenance position performs inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on production machinery as well as buildings and grounds.

*** Willing to train the right candidate.

Classification: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-10 hour shifts with rotating hours between 4:00am-5:00pm, and rotating Saturdays.  Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Essential Functions
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them.
  • Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  • Maintain buildings and grounds, elevator, fire systems and HVAC systems.
  • Perform sophisticated preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, and building systems operate efficiently.
  • Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, including repair or replacement of defective equipment or parts.
  • Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
  • Perform other maintenance related duties including but not limited to recording of maintenance and repair work, cleaning and lubricating parts, and dismantling equipment.
Qualifications and Skills Required
  • Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance or work equivalent in similar field preferred.
  • Low voltage electrical systems experience, and PLC / VFB experience preferred.
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Must be able to carefully follow written and verbal instructions, and work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to inspect parts and machines by sight and sound to detect mechanical issues.
  • Ability to use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
  • Must be able to maneuver throughout the shift and in tight spaces, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, push and/or pull up to 200 pounds on a wheeled cart, bend, stoop, crawl, climb, reach away from the body and above waist level, and grasp small objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
