What does a DSP do?

Help people with everyday routines so their home is comfortable and safe.
Assist with personal care, such as getting dressed, bathing and grooming.
Help the person with their medication routines.
Lend a hand with household tasks like cooking meals, doing laundry, and cleaning.
Assist with community connection by going out to the grocery store, attending medical appointments or something fun like bowling or grabbing a coffee!
Support friendships and social connections.
Help teach daily living skills like budgeting and time management.
Encourage independence and autonomy as much as possible!
Being a support and advocate for the person.
Celebrate successes big and small.
