Lowboy Truck Driver – CDL Required

Position Overview
Summit Materials is looking for a full-time, hourly paid, safe, experienced Lowboy Truck Driver. This position is regularly responsible for the safe and efficient transport of our paving equipment to and from worksites as directed.

Position Responsibilities & Performance Objectives
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Loading and unloading heavy asphalt equipment to and from the lowboy trailer.
  • Safely operating the equipment and the truck on and between work sites.
  • Ensure that all operations are in full compliance with federal and state regulation.
  • Ensure compliance with all company Safety Practices & Procedures.
  • Maintain proper job records such as schedules, etc.
  • Maintain strong internal and external customer relationships.
  • Must be willing to work weekends when necessary.
  • Strict adherence to company Safety Practices & Procedures, as well as general policies and procedures as outlined in both the safety handbook and employee handbook.
Physical Demands
  • CDL / DOT Medical Card required.
  • Ability to safely and efficiently meet all performance objectives.

Skills & Experience
  • High School graduate, preferred.
  • One year of commercial driving experience required.
  • Lowboy and/or related experience strongly preferred.
  • Must maintain as suitable background and driving record to meet company policy.
Applicants must be 21 years of age to drive a commercial vehicle and 20 years of age for all other vehicles; valid driver's license and company approved driving record is required if authorized to drive either a company or personal vehicle for business purposes.
