Location: The Villa Casuarina 


Position Summary:

The Houseman is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all public areas, back-of-house spaces, and assisting room attendants in preparing guest rooms. This position ensures a welcoming and well-maintained environment for guests and staff while supporting the overall operations of the housekeeping department.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain cleanliness of hotel public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, elevators, stairways, and pool areas.

  • Collect and remove trash, dirty linens, and other refuse from guest floors and public spaces.

  • Assist room attendants by delivering linens, towels, amenities, and supplies to guest rooms.

  • Respond to guest requests and housekeeping calls promptly and courteously.

  • Clean and maintain housekeeping closets and storage areas.

  • Set up and break down meeting rooms or banquet spaces as needed.

  • Support deep cleaning projects or special assignments as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor.

  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards.

  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately.

  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with guests and colleagues.


Qualifications:
  • Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.

  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
