Position Summary:
The Houseman is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all public areas, back-of-house spaces, and assisting room attendants in preparing guest rooms. This position ensures a welcoming and well-maintained environment for guests and staff while supporting the overall operations of the housekeeping department.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintain cleanliness of hotel public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, elevators, stairways, and pool areas.

Collect and remove trash, dirty linens, and other refuse from guest floors and public spaces.

Assist room attendants by delivering linens, towels, amenities, and supplies to guest rooms.

Respond to guest requests and housekeeping calls promptly and courteously.

Clean and maintain housekeeping closets and storage areas.

Set up and break down meeting rooms or banquet spaces as needed.

Support deep cleaning projects or special assignments as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately.

Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with guests and colleagues.
Qualifications:

Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs.

Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.

Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
