We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the maintenance, operational projects, and capital improvements for our properties in Miami Beach. This hands-on role is responsible for overseeing the upkeep, functionality, and safety of hotel facilities while managing vendor relationships, budgets, and city permitting/licensing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality facilities management, with in-depth knowledge of Miami Beach municipal codes, building operations, and licensing procedures.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate daily facilities operations, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and emergency response.

Plan, supervise, and execute property improvement projects, renovations, and operational initiatives.

Serve as the primary liaison between ownership, hotel operations, contractors, vendors, and city officials.

Obtain, maintain, and renew all required city, county, and state licenses and permits, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and ordinances.

Develop and manage maintenance and capital project budgets, timelines, and vendor contracts.

Oversee RFP processes, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance management.

Monitor facilities systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and elevators, ensuring operational reliability and guest safety.

Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and quality assurance checks to maintain property standards.

Stay up to date with Miami Beach permitting requirements, construction codes, and hospitality safety regulations.

Collaborate with hotel leadership and department heads to support operational needs, guest experience considerations, and planned property improvements.

Provide regular reports on facilities operations, project status, risk assessments, and financial performance.

Lead and mentor on-site engineering/maintenance teams as applicable.

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of facilities management or engineering management experience in hospitality, commercial property, or real estate operations.

Proven experience managing City of Miami Beach permitting, inspections, and licensing processes.

Strong vendor and contractor management, negotiation, and project oversight skills.

Excellent organizational, budgeting, and scheduling abilities.

Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety, ADA, and hospitality compliance regulations.

Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.

PMP certification, EPA Universal, or Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) designation a plus.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
