San Francisco AIDS Foundation has worked to create such a future since 1982 through education, advocacy and direct prevention, substance use health and supportive services. More than 25,000 people every year access free HIV testing and STI screening, harm reduction and syringe access and disposal, community engagement, and health navigation services. POSITION SUMMARY:

The AIDS/LifeCycle (ALC) Cyclist Representative (CR) Manager is responsible for front-line customer service and year round retention of cyclists. This position is responsible for leading the San Francisco-based CR team to meet and exceed participant fundraising and retention goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Include but not limited to:
  1. Develop and manage an extraordinary work environment within which the CR Team can thrive.
  2. Achieve assigned fundraising goals by managing a team of CRs who each steward a portfolio of 500+ participants.
  3. Set weekly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual fundraising goals for each CR and the entire team
  4. Monitor fundraising and retention progress; adjust goals and strategy as needed 
  5. Oversee elements of the campaign related directly to revenue: Moves Management, Incentives and fundraising messaging.
  6. Collaborate with Recruitment Manager to achieve retention and fundraising efforts.
  7. Collaborate with Events Manager to curate experiences that echo the CRs’ stewardship efforts.
  8. Assure accurate customer service records and entered into the database.
  9. Manage CRs’ schedules and application of hours to maximize efficiency.
  10. Assist the Director in developing and executing an annual strategic plan.
  11. Other responsibilities as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for management of CRs and Volunteers.

Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines; ability to work independently with self-direction; 3+ years of professional experience in peer-to-peer fundraising; basic familiarity with endurance cycling.

Must be comfortable interacting with a variety of populations including Clients and Participants of San Francisco AIDS Foundation, or be willing to learn how.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
 
Bachelor’s degree and three years experience in customer service or endurance events or five years equivalent experience required. Valid CA driver’s license required.

This position will have access to protected health information (PHI) and may only access, use or disclose the minimum information necessary to perform their designated role on behalf of San Francisco AIDS Foundation, regardless of the extent of access provided.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
 
Skill in operating various office equipment such as, personal computer, calculator, copy machine, facsimile machine, typewriter, and telephone system. Ability to perform routine bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires staffing AIDS/LifeCycle including pre and post production duties. During the AIDS LifeCycle event in June and the days immediately before and after the event, additional responsibilities may be assigned, as necessary. These responsibilities may include administrative duties, volunteer supervision, safety monitoring, vendor relations, and/or sales supervision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
 
This position is primarily located at 1035 Market street; San Francisco, however may require traveling to off site meetings as required by the job.
