We are seeking an enthusiastic Care Coordinator to join our team in Tampa, FL. 

This is a full time, ongoing position with a schedule of Monday-Friday with 40-regularly scheduled hours between 8am-8pm. Some overtime may be required based on business needs. 

Essential Functions:
  • Create and manage all testing referral requests received from clients/providers while meeting and/or exceeding service level goals
  • Resolve service needs and manage requests including escalation when appropriate
  • Identify, by utilizing effective questioning and communication techniques, case manager/adjustor needs to provide appropriate services and updates for their injured worker
  • Initiate, via referral tracking system, new claims and requests for sample type testing needed for injured workers
  • Initiate contact with injured workers to verify demographics, scheduling logistics
  • Establish ongoing rapport with case manager, adjuster, injured worker and physician to provide education as needed while maintaining or exceeding quality standards
  • Schedule, and follow up with injured worker for requested testing services
  • Initiate contact with referral source and communicate at key process milestones and upon any barriers requiring proactive action and communication
  • Document all actions thoroughly in the referral tracking system
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma required at a minimum; AA, AS or college degree preferred
  • 2 years’ work experience in a customer service related field including order fulfillment or scheduling, preferably healthcare
  • Pharmacy or toxicology experience such as laboratory technician/assistant, pharmacy technician or PBM work experience preferred
  • Workers’ compensation industry experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must be a good communicator with a friendly positive demeanor
  • Should be resourceful, flexible, and adaptable
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Proficient in computer window-based program w/excellent navigation skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Proven ability to utilize phones skills to uncover needs and create/present value for products, services and/or the company
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume service center
  • Ability to multi-task and works well under pressure
  • Bilingual in Spanish, a plus
Physical Requirements:
  • Light to moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 25 lbs.) -Heavier weights with assistance
  • Sitting & standing for long periods of time
  • Repetitive motions and/or prolonged computer use
  • Working at a fast pace, subject to many interruptions and both physical and mental stress
