Cordant Health Solutions has an immediate opening for a full-time LC/MS Instrument Specialist to join our Tacoma, WA laboratory. Under the supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor the Instrument Specialist will ensure the proper functioning of analytical equipment utilized in the laboratory. The Specialist is responsible for performing all preventative maintenance tasks, keeping records of all instrumental maintenance procedures, scheduling on-site service, and repairing any instrumental failures if they occur.

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday from 8am-4:30pm.

The starting compensation for this role is $22 per hour. 

Essential Functions:
  • • Operate and load samples onto analytical instrumentation.
    • Maintain daily, weekly and monthly maintenance on all instruments.
    • Troubleshoot instrumentation and assay issues.
    • Maintain PM schedule with instrument vendors.
    • Schedule and track instrument repairs with vendors.
    • Assists with maintaining an adequate inventory of laboratory supplies.
    • Prepare reagents and buffers as needed.
    • Responsible for all record keeping associated with instrument maintenance, repair and service.
    • Conducts safe work practices according to safety protocols, PPE requirements and decontamination procedures.
    • Performs other tasks and duties that are commensurate with education, training, and abilities.
    • Responsible to maintain all safe guards as it pertains to Protected health information (PHI)

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred
  • Experience with LC/MS Instrument maintenance and operation, preferred
  • Laboratory experience helpful, but not required
