Who You are:
     As the Supply Chain Specialist, you will work with Sky Regional management to establish processes for strategic sourcing and inventory plans for all aircraft components. You will be integral to the deployment, integration and sustainability of the materials management and tracking at the airline. Working with Stores, Purchasing, HR and Finance, identify and facilitate the development of standard operating procedures as a framework for implementing continuous process improvement, waste/cost reduction, quality improvement, inventory optimization / reduction. Overall accountability will be to facilitate a disciplined improvement process that introduces new technology, reduces process cycle times, increases efficiencies resulting in overall cost and inventory optimization.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Build data and analyses to assist in forecasting inventory needs and spending timelines based on vendor performance, lead times and operational data (e.g. life limited components, MEL requirements) and build deployment plan for supporting line and heavy maintenance.
  • Define a usable set of supply chain, inventory and cost improvement KPIs that are complementary for each team and aligned to objectives; Develop the KPIs to ensure they reflect current performance, are used to identify issues and tracking to objectives and that help prioritize improvements. 
  • Identify potential cost savings opportunities based on process, past acquisition costs and implement process changes to realize savings; identify other potential cost savings opportunities based on past consumption and spend for potential vendor cost reductions
Process and Work Tools and Systems Usage
  • Look at day-to-day activities to identify potential work tools to help improve efficiency and effectiveness; define process improvements and implement cross-functional changes with the team, providing coaching and helping each team learn the new process; check process effectiveness and adoption
  • Identify and implement new concepts within the Supply Chain team, encompassing working tools, process changes and systems improvements; identify any data cleansing and process step changes and ensure alignment within the team and other areas to support implementation; Lead the changes across the teams through cross-functional team facilitation and project management
Other
  • Responsible to perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with Sky Regional Airlines Inc. MPM and Incorporated Documents like DPDs.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or other disciplines requiring an in-depth knowledge of data analysis with inventory
EXPERIENCE:
  • A minimum of 5 years of data analysis related work   experience; experience in aviation, analyzing data related to parts and inventory planning
  • Additional 1-2 years’ experience managing or supervising staff is desirable
  • In depth knowledge of Inventory principles.
  • Strong organizational skills required.
  • PMAC accreditation or similar considered an asset.

  • Competent in using company business systems; including but not limited to Microsoft Office, including MS Work, MS Excel (including familiarity with formulas and spreadsheet usage) and MS PowerPoint and Visio and Trax.
