Job Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) reports to the Director of Human Resources and is responsible for sourcing and selecting top talent to be employed at Sky Regional Airlines. This position works collaboratively with hiring managers to ensure use of comprehensive sourcing and recruiting strategies to attract talent to our organization.

Specific Accountabilities:
  • Responsible for full-cycle recruitment for a variety of roles at varying levels and multiple functional areas
  • Develop job descriptions, advertisements and post vacancies
  • Pre-screen candidates, set up interview and simulator evaluation session schedules, conduct in-person interviews, reference and criminal background checks, send job offers, new hire paperwork and track candidates in the applicant tracking system
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing and recruiting strategies to meet business objectives
  • Use a variety of sourcing tools including utilizing social media and network contacts, internet postings, database searches, and employee referrals to create diverse candidate pools
  • Build a pipeline of high-potential candidates for positions that require a very specific skillset focusing on long-term human resources planning
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, privacy legislation, recruitment policies, processes and procedures
  •  Measure recruitment metrics and strategize in order to decrease attrition
  • Deliver on established key metrics to ensure recruitment goals are met
  • Responsible for generating weekly and monthly recruitment statistics
  • Work closely with HRBPs, Leaders and Hiring Managers to address talent gaps and proactively support those gaps
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge/ Skills & Experience Requirements
  • Must have 6 + years of full-cycle recruitment experience with the ability to handle a high volume of open positions effectively
  • Must have Bachelor’s degree, educational background in Human Resources is an asset
  • Must have experience working with an applicant tracking systems, TAM (HRIS) experience is an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Professional Recruiter Certification (PRC) and/ or Certified Internet Recruiter (CIR) and/ or Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) is an asset
  • Experience in the aviation industry is an asset
  • Bilingual (English and French) preferred
