Who You are:
As a Crew Scheduler you are responsible for coordinating and disseminating information concerning the planning and tracking of pilots and cabin crew schedules. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and navigate stressful and time-sensitive situations with ease. You work well under minimal supervision and working a varied and flexible schedule.


• Responsible for ensuring that all flights are fully staffed while following the terms of employment and all Canadian Aviation Regulation requirements in an efficient manner.
• Ensure all crew members have hotel, air and ground transportation as per their schedule booked and confirmed.
• Handle all daily scheduling problems that may arise focusing on efficient use of crews including replacing for SICK and out of duty crews.
• Maintain daily records for sick calls, lateness and no show for crewmembers.
• Monitor and approve crew trip trades, trip drops and any other requests for daily open time.
• Ensure crews are checked in for their next pairing to avoid any delays.
• Follow all documented procedures, policies and processes including terms of employment and Canadian Aviation Regulations.
• Ensure all important information is updated in the shift log as well as completing all checklist duties.
• Ongoing review of processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of department and provides suggestions to Senior Manager, Crew Planning and Crew Scheduling.
• Ensure safety is the primary objective by adhering to the Canadian Aviation Regulations and Sky Regional safety policy.
• Other duties as assigned to support the operation.

• Minimum high school education;
• Post-secondary diploma, courses or degree in aviation environment an asset.
• Experience in a crew scheduling environment preferred;
• Working knowledge of the CARS;
• Experience working in customer service.
• Ensure all flights are fully staffed legally within the Terms of Employment and the Canadian Aviation regulations;
• Work to efficiently handle any irregular operations including sick calls and delays due to weather or maintenance;
• Demonstrated working knowledge of general computer and software applications;
• Ability to multi-task during high stress situations with minimal supervision and flexible with the ability to work shift work;
• Possess excellent communication skills (written and oral) including ability to communicate in a clear, accurate, concise and professional manner;
• Excellent interpersonal skills, delegation, and initiative and demonstrated excellence in prioritizing and organizational skills. Must be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant;
• Authorized to live and work in Canada and obtain a Transport Canada Restricted Area Pass.
