Valley Catholic High School, a member of the OSAA 4A classification and a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon, has an opening for a paid assistant to help coach the girls' tennis team.

Job Description: 
The assistant coach will work with the Head Coach of the Valley Catholic tennis program in accordance with the mission of Valley Catholic School and the philosophy of its Athletics Department. Responsibilities include planning and conducting practice sessions, setting match line-ups, transporting students to away matches, and administering matches.

The High School tennis season runs from February 28th to May 17th with matches and practices during the week between 3:30pm and 6:30pm. Practices and home matches are located on the campus of Valley Catholic School.
Qualified candidates have previous experience coaching tennis and a passion for teaching fundamentals, teamwork, ethics and sportsmanship. In addition, they have a history of positive influence and interactions with players, coaches, and parents and have the ability to communicate effectively with parents, administration, students, and staff.

Additional Requirements:
  • A First Aid/CPR card or the ability to obtain one before the first day of the Tennis season.
  • All required OSAA and NFHS certifications, including concussion, heat illness prevention, steroid training or the ability to obtain these before the first day of the Tennis season. A complete list can be found here:
