As the Admissions Coordinator, this role is responsible for relationship building with potential and current clients and their families, gathering financial information for review with the business office, supporting other departments with events at Maryville, and working with third-parties.  Specific areas of responsibility include:

·  Must be able to build relationships in order to obtain referrals from various community members for our services.

·  Conducts tours of facility for prospective residents whether walk-ins or scheduled admissions.

·  Gathers financial information and works with business manager, billing, and case manager to confirm benefits and obtain authorizations.

·  Assists with arrangements and confirmation of all admissions.

·  Participates and assists in coordinating community marketing events.

·  Communicates effectively with referral sources, physicians, RN/Case Managers, insurance companies, patients and families.

·  Tracks pre-admission referral activity daily.

·  Assists with arrangements and confirmation of all admissions.

·  Verification of payer source, i.e., Medicare, managed Care, Medicaid, Insurance.

·  Obtains prior approval number from payer on a per case basis when authorized.

·  Performs secretarial duties as necessary.

·  Orders specialized equipment as indicated (review contract content for need to obtain prior approval for authorized payor. Example: CPM, Flexicare, when authorized)

·  Communicates and coordinates move-in with other departments ensuring transition is smooth and rooms are move-in ready.

·  Prepares and completes admission paperwork and administers with families before or upon admission.

Qualified candidates will have proven experience building relationships in order to obtain referrals from various community members for our services. Admissions and/or Marketing experience in a healthcare or similar setting is required. Some Social Services background and a Bachelor's degree are strongly desired.
