The Special Services Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing business with various general contractors, engineers, architects, owner’s reps, and property owners within their prospective market. This person will gain continuous market knowledge, trends, and information to feed to the company. This position will be a true contributor to the growth of the company and provide the talent that will make this company successful. This requires an individual who is highly motivated, a team player with strong inter-personal and organizational skills, effective attention to detail, the ability to problem solve, juggle multiple projects, and adjust work accordingly.

Duties and Responsibilities – Essential Functions

  • Build firsthand, lasting relationships with clientele.
  • Effectively gain, store, study and process market information, knowledge, and market trends.
  • Work with Preconstruction, Account Managers, and Operations to develop business strategies that will help the company achieve its long term and short-term business goals.
  • Attends industry events to stay abreast of market conditions and competition and establish relationships with clients and prospects.
  • Must have excellent verbal, public speaking, and written communication skills.
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have an entrepreneurial spirit and be self-motivated.
  • Must be able to adjust and be flexible to sudden demands and effectively deal with various personalities.
  • Must be able to handle tough situations and rejection.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Some travel possible
Education, Experience, and/or Prerequisites Preferred:
    • Bachelors’ Degree in business, construction, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • 3 years of business development experience.
    • Proven track record developing business relationships.
    • Inter-personal skills, communication skills and team-based project experience.
    • A passion for developing new business in a fast-paced growing environment.
    • A valid drivers’ license and a clean driving record.
