The Position:
Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is committed to the academic success of its students by cultivating a rich and rewarding learning environment that enables them to meet their academic goals and provides students with the competencies to succeed in their professional careers. The Vice Provost, Student Affairs partners with campus leaders to ensure that OHSU delivers innovative and effective programs that support students in navigating an enriching and stimulating learning environment at all OHSU campuses, enabling students to reach their full potential.
In collaboration with academic leadership at the program, school and institutional level, the Vice Provost, Student Affairs is responsible for developing a strategic vision for student affairs at OHSU, leading its implementation, and overseeing ongoing operations. The Vice Provost, Student Affairs directly supervises the Academic Success Center, Center for Learner Diversity & Inclusion (CLDI), Confidential Advocacy Program, Office of Science Education Opportunities, Office for Student Access, Office of Student Life, Student CARE Program, and Student Health & Wellness. The Vice Provost, Student Affairs is responsible for ongoing assessment of the student support services to ensure that they are meeting learner needs.
The Vice Provost, Student Affairs is also responsible for collaborating with all University departments to promote the advancement of student support, engagement, and communication functions to create purposeful interactions with faculty, staff, and administration, as well as with pre-matriculation partners in support of the University’s mission statement, core values, and vision to nurture student success.
