Role Summary

The restaurant bartender is responsible for creating cocktails in a timely manner with proper technical skill.  The bartender will be a storyteller for the bar and Bear's culinary selections. The bartender is responsible for having a thorough and in depth knowledge of the food and beverage menu, and curating a guest experience. The ideal candidate will perform tasks in an energetic, professional manner. It is imperative that the bartender is team oriented, have great communication skills, attention to detail, and have the knowledge and experience to read the guest in order to create an engaging experience.

 

Core Responsibilities

The key responsibilities for this position are:

  •  Must have an in-depth knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service, guests relations and etiquette.

  • Must have in-depth wine, spirits, and cocktail knowledge. Some past knowledge curating specialty cocktails is a plus. 

  • Individuals must be able to perform mental activities such as mutli-tasking, learning, thinking, following instructions, concentrating, interacting with others and handling stressful situations, self control, attention to details and being reliable. 

  •  responsible for welcoming guests, making food and beverage selections, graciously performing steps of service, maintaining cleanliness of the bar top and back bar.

 

Required Qualifications

  •  Must have previous bartending and bar backing experience. 

  • Must have upscale-casual experience. High volume experience is a plus. 

  • TIPs certification

  • Food Safety certification. 

  • Must at least 21 years of age. 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Needs to have previous hospitality experience. 

  • Education: Have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
