Job Description
As a Senior DevSecOps Software Engineer at Trusted Space you will support the development and integration of various intelligence capabilities into a test and subsequently operational environment. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the high-side automated deployment pipeline, ensuring that developers are not blocked by issues in the deployment process and participating in building solutions for a national security mission applications systems. This position will require collaboration across multiple teams and a focus on optimizing performance and reliability.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend systems, with a focus on optimizing performance and ensuring reliability for mission-critical applications.
  • Implement and maintain RESTful APIs, primarily using Java and the Spring Boot framework, to support backend service integration and data processing.
  • Enhance backend infrastructure to detect and prevent configuration issues, optimizing code quality and deployment stability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the backend stack, including server-side logic, database interactions, and integration with third-party services.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate backend services with frontend applications and other system components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Jenkins performance issues, ensuring build times are accurate and efficient.
  • Develop an automated health monitoring system to detect deployment and resource issues.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline backend service deployment and address configuration management challenges.
  • Develop scripts and automation tools to facilitate the deployment and scaling of backend services across various environments.
Qualifications
  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI clearance or have a Top Secret Clearance and be SCI eligible with the willingness to work in a classified environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline; with 8+ years of relevant experience in software development.
  • Experience developing software using Java, or similar programming language.
  • Experience with software engineering tools (i.e., Git/Subversion, IDE) 
  • Working knowledge of agile software development practices and tools, such as Jira, Confluence, and git.
  • API Rest Framework development/maintenance using Java and Springboot framework
  • Experience with Jenkins for pipeline integration and deployment.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with SQL/database/ORM/MongoDB
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on optimizing deployment processes.
  • API Rest Framework development/maintenance for geospatial and remote sensing applications.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Experience with 3rd party software like Keycloak, Cesium, OpenSearch
  • Experience with devops tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, ELK stack and scripting.
  • Lead and execute the migration and updating of codebases from Java 8 to Java 17
Salary Range: The salary range for this role is $170,000-$235,000.
