We are looking for Manual Machinist to join join our team! 

Job Expectations:
  • • Set up and operate one or more of the following machines: Manual lathe and/or manual mill.
    • Properly set up and operate Manual Lathe to machine parts/components to the required specifications. 
     • Work from factory work orders, routings, drawings, process drawings & layout sheets, written or verbal instructions. 
    • Read, interpret and understand blueprints and drawings including symbols, welding symbols, material type and material shape. 
    • Plan machining operations by studying work orders, blueprints, drawings, specifications, materials, machining parameters, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.
     • Perform basic machining math including fractional / decimal conversion, basic trigonometry (sin, cos), calculating dimensions and tolerances and determining missing linear or angular dimensions.  
    • Properly utilize machining tools such as high speed end mill, carbide end mill, high speed drill, carbide drill, high speed tap, roll forming tap, right angle attachments and reaming. 
    • Plan and perform a wide variety of diversified close tolerance machining operations. 
    • Select appropriate speeds, feeds and tooling for operations. 
    • Lift and position workpiece on machine table and secure it. 
    • Verify alignment of workpiece. 
    • Verify conformance of machined workpiece to specifications using measuring devices.
    • Maintain safe operations by adhering to company safety procedures and policies. 
    • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance as required following manufacturer’s instructions.
    • Working environment will require the operator to be standing 90 % of the time, move around, bend and lift as required. 
     
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years previous experience with CNC Operations
  • Must possess mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills
  • Ability to determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
  • Regularly required to lift fixtures and panels up to 50 lbs,
  • Sitting, squatting, twisting in various positions for certain lengths of time, walking and being on your feet for a good portion of the work day
