Inside Sales Support Job Description
The Inside Sales Support role will provide direct customer assistance for three primary areas including sales lead management, customer case management and Tangent’s scrap return program.  There be will be some secondary role priorities involving updating customer sales information & data in support of order processing / management.  All details will be reviewed with set time allocation by priority and required task completion. 
In this role you will have daily customer contact via email / phone (incoming & outgoing) & virtual meetings including being the first company contact with new potential customers, existing customers through our case management process and scrap return program.  You will be responsible for documenting & tracking all customer contact and sales lead activity through Salesforce supported through provided reports tracking results & trends. 
To support success, Inside Sales Support candidates should have prior sales or customer service-related experience.  To be successful as an Inside Sales Support Representative you should be able to build instant rapport and achieve customer satisfaction.  A top candidate will be a good listener, have a willingness to learn and enjoy working in a fast a paced environment.
Inside Sales Representative Responsibilities:
  • Communicating with customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads
  • Understanding customers' needs and identifying sales opportunities
  • Answering potential customers' questions and sending additional information per email, fax etc.
  • Keeping up with product and service information and updates
  • Creating and maintaining SF accounts for current and potential new customers
  • Explaining and demonstrating features of products and services
  • Staying informed about competing products and services
  • Upselling products and services
  • Researching and qualifying new leads
  • Closing sales and achieving sales targets
  • Managing customer product or service-related issues
  • Purchase order management & fulfillment
  • Maintaining and update customer records for account services
Sales Support Administrator Requirements:
  • An Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field experience
  • Demonstrable experience in sales support, administration, or similar
  • Experience with sales industry software like Salesforce and Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems, or similar
  • Familiarity with sales quotes, contracts, and agreements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft word processing and excel spreadsheet software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proactive approach toward problem-solving
