Shopify Developer Position Summary
This is a key role within the technology team of The Wellness Company. You’ll be building highly engaging platforms that provide our customers with the tools to make a choice on regarding their Health and Wellness. Working with highly skilled and motivated you’ll use your skills to make a positive experience for our customer.

You’re self organizing and goal oriented with experience at taking projects from start to finish. In past experiences, you’ve proven your ability to manage internal and external relationships to deliver on shared goals. You possess a strong bias-to-action and results-driven mentality to operate efficiently and effectively. You are described as a curious innovator who apply’ s new learnings to their everyday life. This is a key role within the technology team of The Wellness Company. Working with highly skilled and motivated you’ll use your skills to make a positive experience for our customer.
Responsibilities
- Developing single and multi-brand eCommerce sites on Shopify + platform
- Developing and modifying Shopify themes
- Migrating websites from other eCommerce platforms to Shopify
- Extending Shopify’s functionalities to next level using storefront APIs, liquid programming, meta fields, etc.
- Integrating and third-party and platform supported apps.
- Working with various vendors to trouble shoot applications.
- Configuring all aspects of the internal finance platform
- Page speed optimization of Shopify sites
- Transforming complex layout PSDs into pixel-perfect presentation-layer HTML5/CSS3 templates
- Creating responsive website designs
- Working with version control systems such as GIT / SVN
- Handling multiple projects at the same time
- Producing high quality of work with a strong focus on detail
- Thoroughly QA work prior to submission
Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Shopify + platform
- Expertise in theme development and customization
- Expert-level knowledge of Shopify Liquid templating language
- Proficient working with different Shopify JS APIs (storefront, AJAX Cart, Sections etc)
- Proven expertise in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript/ECMA Script 5/6
- Expertise in JavaScript libraries (eg: jQuery).
- Strong understanding of cross platform compatibility issues, responsive web design techniques, W3C web standards/semantics and accessibility guidelines
- Highly organized with the ability to work on multiple projects and tasks at the same time
- Positive and upbeat attitude with the ability to learn quickly
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Shopify Websites Development
- Experience with WordPress,WooCommerce, Magento, and BigCommerce (preferred)
- Experience with Ruby (preferred)
- Proficiency in PHP/MYSQL and AJAX (preferred)
- Knowledge of SCSS (preferred)
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Shopify Certification (Preferred)
