POSITION TITLE: GATEHOUSE ATTENDANT
LOCATION: BLUE SKY RANCH-- WANSHIP, UT
DEPARTMENT: FRONT OFFICE
REPORTS TO: GATEHOUSE SUPERVISOR

POSITION SUMMARY: Help us create world class guest experiences at Blue Sky Utah, a 3,500-acre ranch offering unparalleled outdoor activities and future home to Summit County’s premier resort, The Lodge at Blue Sky. As a Gatehouse Attendant, you'll provide an exceptional experience by greeting guests, vendors, suppliers, and employees at our main gatehouse, and you'll provide on-property directions and answer basic guest questions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ensure all guests, vendors, and other visitors are greeted promptly and professionally with the highest level of service in mind. Greets guests for each experience and provides a warm and welcoming first impression
Collaborate with Lodge, High West, Events, Adventures, and Equine staff for all scheduling and guest arrivals/departures and on-property instructions
Engage with guests to provide exceptional service, assist guest with property directions, staff introductions, and other facility information as necessary
Accept deliveries as necessary after office hours
Assist with organizing and keeping clean venues & common areas
Conduct basic patrols of property, buildings, and facilities and respond to any property concerns by taking the appropriate actions
Support Ranch Events Staff with event set-up, tear down, and clean-up as required
Standard Specifications: Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently. Some requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves, other employees, or guests.
A genuine affinity for interacting meaningfully and positively with guests
Guest service experience
High school diploma or equivalent experience
Must have a valid United States driver’s license
Preferred: 18 years of age or older
Clean driving record free of major offenses and/or multiple minor offenses
Clear criminal record
Willing to work flexible hours of morning, evening, holidays, weekends, and overnight shifts as departmental need dictates
Dependability and punctuality are required, and a background check will be conducted.
Must be available for extended hours and on-call as necessary for Ranch and guest emergencies, guest events, and inclement weather events
High degree of initiative and independent judgment including the ability to prioritize multiple demands and guest inquiries
Organized and detail-oriented with an emphasis on organization and cleanliness
Basic PC skills
Ability to work with and communicate with guests, vendors, tenants, peers, and managers in a professional and courteous manner
Professional appearance and demeanor, excellent verbal and written communication skills
Positive attitude, resourceful nature, and excellent problem-solving capabilities
Working Conditions: Tasks are performed indoors and outdoors. Temperature varies relative to outdoor conditions. Noise level is usually moderate.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to stand at a desk/work station for up to eight hours. Reach with hands and arms, stoop and bend, speak and hear. Regularly lifts and/or moves up 20 pounds; occasionally lifts and/or moves 50 pounds.
