Role Summary

Esthetician performs all facials and body treatments according to established protocols ensuring all guests experience pure peace and relaxation.  Esthetician supports and promotes the image, service, and standards of The Edge Spa.
 

Core Responsibilities

  1. Attend all resort meetings as scheduled.

  2. Explain and promote all spa and resort facilities, services, and activities.

  3. Contact the spa the evening before a scheduled workday to confirm hours scheduled, maintain contact throughout the scheduled workday with the spa front desk team to communicate additions, deletions, and changes in schedule.

  4. Guide and escort guests to the appropriate area in the spa.

  5. Provide all facials and spa treatments as outlined in The Edge Spa treatment protocol manual

  6. Keep the work area clean and neat at all times. Follow sanitation procedures.

  7. Arrive on time for a scheduled shift. Return punctually from breaks and meal periods. 

  8. Clock out promptly at the end of the scheduled shift.

  9.  Assist other departments within the spa whenever necessary and available.

  10. On-call for not less than one shift per week including at least one-weekend shift.

  11. Attend The Edge Spa associate training and meetings as scheduled.

  12. Available to work holidays, weekends, and evenings as needed.

  13.  Maintain helpful, cooperative relations with co-workers.

  14.  Adhere to The Lodge at Blue Sky associate handbook guidelines.

  15. Assist in establishing and maintaining a standard of excellence in professional image and services.

  16.  Use of products within guidelines set in policy/procedure manuals.

  17. Follow treatment procedures set in policy/procedure manuals.

  18.  Proper use of all spa facilities and equipment.

  19. Thorough knowledge of the menu of services and products.

  20. Keep guests and associate areas neat and clean.
     

Required Qualifications

  • Utah State Esthetician License

  • Minimum 1-year experience as an esthetician

  • Ability to provide all spa treatments as outlined in the protocol manual.

  • Ability to work in an environment infused with a variety of scents, such as aromatherapy

  • ABMP insurance

  • Highly passionate

  • Great Attitude

  • Team player

  • Knowledge of local culture and activities


Skills:

Required

  1. Ability to make guests as physically and emotionally comfortable as possible while providing services.

  2. Ability to drape guests, exposing only the body part being worked on.

  3. Maintain a well-rounded knowledge of the human physiology, being able to identify a wide range of symptoms and disorders.

  4. Ability to assist the guest in selecting services to best aid the guest in alleviating problems or attaining their goals while at the spa.

  5. Ability to learn, remember, provide, and adhere to all facial and body treatment procedures as outlined in The Edge Spa Policy/Procedure manual.

  6. Able to identify a wide range of symptoms and disorders.

  7. Ability to educate/advise clients on skincare products and regimens most suited to their skin type.

  8. Monthly sell-thru of 30% of total facial revenue.

  9. Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English, both orally and in writing, using correct spelling and grammar, with guests, co-workers, and management to their understanding, both in person and by telephone.

  10. Ability to provide legible written communication.

  11. Ability to input and access data on a computer.

  12. Ability to multitask.

  13. Ability to be well organized, maintain concentration, think clearly, and follow up.

  14. Ability to focus attention on details.

  15. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of all guests and resort information.

  16. Ability to work cohesively with other departments and co-workers as part of a team.

  17. Ability to always remain calm, centered, and focused despite surroundings or personal circumstances.
