About The Vanderbilt, Auberge Resorts Collection

Role Summary

The Talent & Culture Manager reports directly to the General Manager and indirectly to the VP of Talent and Culture.  The T&C manager is responsible for providing first-level support for staff and guests while collaborating with all functional areas of the business to ensure compliance, encourage positive productivity, and enhance growth capability.

Core Responsibilities

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done!  Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-mates.   Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

  • Maintain and update HR processes and procedures; including compliance and team communications

  • Schedule new team member orientation and track attendance

  • Maintain accurate employee records and update the process as needed to maintain compliance

  • Maintain and create new team member recognition programs

  • Collaborate with all department leaders to ensure policies and protocols are followed

  • Ensure all Safety plans, protocols, and training are current and correct.  Schedule safety meetings.

  • Foster open door policy for all staff levels

  • Update team member handbook

  • Support all department leaders in procedures, payroll, staffing, communications, team concerns, and questions

  • Recruiting for all positions by placing recruitment ads on internal/external job boards and assisting in distributing candidate information, writing job offers.

  • Liaise with our partners for J1 Visas to ensure all applications get submitted properly

  • Monitor federal labor laws to ensure compliance

  • Handle all necessary unemployment documentation

  • Attend Talent and Culture conference calls

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years in Talent and Culture generalist role.
  • Hotel experience preferred
