About the Role:

In this pivotal role, you'll spearhead our financial operations, focusing on comprehensive financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning across all business areas. Your expertise will be crucial in driving the organization towards achieving its short and long-term goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the financial reporting process, including the preparation of consolidated financial statements and monthly management reports to inform decision-making.
  • Handle all accounting tasks, such as reconciliations, payroll, and HST filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Act as the primary liaison for year-end audits, managing external audit processes efficiently.
  • Oversee and enhance accounting controls and systems, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Contribute to annual forecasting and budgeting exercises, aligning financial strategies with company objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining compliance with tax laws and financial regulations.


Requirements

Candidate Profile:

  • Holds a Canadian CPA designation.
  • Boasts 8+ years of experience in senior financial roles, with a background in strategic finance, investment banking, or consulting.
  • Demonstrates exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Exhibits the ability to form collaborative relationships with internal teams.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and can navigate ambiguity.
  • Experience within the SaaS or high-growth tech sectors is highly desirable.

Position Details:

  • Full-time role with a competitive benefits package including dental, extended health care, on-site gym, and parking.
  • 15 days of vacation annually, plus extended health care and vision care benefits.
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, managing a team of 2.
  • Based in our Mississauga head office.
  • Salary range: $100,000 to $120,000, with bonus potential.
