Opportunity Overview:

We are seeking a Director of Quality to spearhead our firm-wide quality management initiatives from a remote position within British Columbia or Alberta. This role is integral to enhancing our quality assurance, ethics culture, and compliance with the latest industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience and innovation to our processes, ensuring we stay ahead in a dynamic marketplace.

Role Essentials:

  • Oversee the firm’s quality management policies and procedures, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to SOX and Bill 198 regulations.
  • Engage in compliance monitoring, developing executive-level communications to highlight findings and recommend improvements.
  • Act as a technical expert on assurance, accounting matters, and professional conduct standards, ensuring alignment with CSQM1 and CSQM2 requirements.
  • ?Drive professional development and training, including the creation and delivery of internal educational materials.


Requirements

What You Will Bring:

  • A Canadian CPA designation, with a strong preference for CA legacy holders.
  • Over 10 years of experience in public accounting, with a deep understanding of Canadian auditing standards and accounting frameworks (IFRS, ASPE, ASNPO).
  • Demonstrated experience in a quality control function within the accounting industry.
  • Proficient in advanced audit methods and willing to engage with our global audit methodology.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects.
  • A readiness to travel within Northern and Western Canada as needed.
