Located in the beautiful coastal town of Kennebunk, White Barn Inn has been a beloved local landmark for over 150 years, synonymous with warm New England hospitality, rustic charm and uncompromising attention to detail. Just a 90 minutes’ drive north of Boston, this inviting property is renowned as one of the country’s most distinctive getaways. At the White Barn Restaurant, award-winning dining and expertly choreographed service unfold in a converted barn that is more than 150 years old.
 
Role Summary
This position provides support for the culinary team in our effort to provide outstanding dining and customer service every day.

 Core Responsibilities

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done!  Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-mates.   Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots or pans, using dishwasher or by hand.
  • Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
  • Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in a clean and orderly manner
  • Clean or prepare various foods for cooking or service
  • Sweep or scrub floors
  • Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
  • Sort or remove trash placing it in designated pickup areas
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. 
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school education or equivalent
Ideal candidate possess food service/hospitality experience.
Professional appearance and manner, good character to work in a fast-paced team.
Positive, honest and energetic work ethic.
 
Able to work on a flexible schedule, including week-ends and holidays, according to department needs.
