About White Barn Inn, Auberge Resorts Collection

A beloved local landmark for over 150 years, White Barn Inn is synonymous with warm New England hospitality, rustic charm and uncompromising attention to detail. Constructed in the 1860s, White Barn Inn’s original farmhouse has offered superb hospitality since the days of the Civil War. It has operated as the White Barn Inn since 1973. Role Summary
As a member of the maintenance team you are committed to providing outstanding customer service and excited by the idea of creating exceptional guest experiences.
The goal is to ensure the company facilities are well-cared for and adequate to support the company’s business operations.

 

Core Responsibilities

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done!  Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their team-mates.   Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

  • Inspect hotel regularly via (PM) to ensure it meets health, safety and hotel standards
    •Arrange for routine maintenance in hotel rooms, lobbies and facilities (e.g. kitchens)
    •Organize repair projects in a manner that does not disturb guests
    •Act fast to resolve emergency issues (e.g. power outages)
    •Familiarity with plumbing, electrical, sewer and HVAC systems; hotel industry experience is a plus
    •Experience with interior and exterior paint
    •Attention to detail
    •Ability to spot safety risks and address needs quickly
    •Problem-solving aptitude
    •Service Passion

     
 

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA in Facility Management is preferred
  • Ability to spot safety risks and address needs quickly. Problem-solving aptitude and excellent organizational and leadership skills.
