Position Purpose:  
This position is an exciting opportunity to spearhead one of RESICAP’s top initiatives. This role will be responsible for establishing and managing an internalized workforce of general labor employees (handyman, painting, plumbing, etc.) in the 59 markets that we operate in. This individual will also be responsible for developing standard operating procedures, key performance indicators, and goals that will align with the growth and strategy of the overall organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial spirit tied with prudent management skills to build, scale, and lead the construction field services department of, ResiPro, RESICAPs’ largest and fastest growing division. The individual chosen for this position will have experience in the construction or maintenance business and a passion for building and scaling business units from scratch.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work with the SVP of Construction and Co-CEO to develop a vision and lead all aspects of the department’s development.
     
  • Work to internalize construction activities in markets with the ability to manage the appropriate density and volume of assets.
     
  • Recruit and build a field-based management team in each of our markets to assure quality, cost, and timeline expectations are met.
     
  • Perform ongoing training of team on newly developed processes and procedures. Educate and promote property repair and renovation best practices to new members.
     
  • Create efficiencies through scalable process and technology enhancements.
     
  • Perform personnel functions (e.g. interviewing, evaluating, supervising, counseling, disciplining, directing, training, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining adequate staffing, enhancing productivity of personnel and achieving objectives within budget.
     
  • Direct de-fragment operations (e.g. budgeting, safety programs, OSHA | TOSHA, site repairs/construction, preventative maintenance, etc.) for the purpose of providing services within established time frames and in compliance with related requirements.
     
  • Develop business strategies and plans which are aligned with short-term and long-term organizational objectives.
     
  • Enforce adherence to legal guidelines and in-house policies to maintain the company’s legality and business ethics.
     
  • Develop trusted relations with prospective clients, while maintaining existing client relationships.
     
  • Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain a competitive advantage.
     
  • Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry of the company.


Job Requirements (including Education)
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit and competitive personality.
  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in a relevant discipline or MBA.
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among executives, partners, and the workforce.
  • Demonstrate strong capability to manage a team. This involves coaching, encouraging, an managing the resource in meeting their goals and company goals.
  • Use analytical and critical thinking for incoming inquiries to identify root causes of issues and make recommendations for resolutions.
  • Able to adapts, prioritize, and multi-task in fast paced environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and data analysis abilities.
  • Experience in a senior management position.
  • 15+ years of experience leading teams in the construction field.
