POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Wisconsin State Fair Park (WSFP) is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented candidate to fill a part-time, year-round Finance & Operations Coordinator in the Business Office. This position’s core duties are related to revenue and receivables processing, procurement card (p-card) review, and supporting the work of the other team members as needed.


EMPLOYMENT TYPE
This position is an unclassified, Limited Term Employment (LTE) position within the State of Wisconsin employment system, working an average of 20 hours per week throughout the calendar year. Annual hours worked in this position will not exceed 1039 hours.


This position has the potential to move into a year-round, 40 hour per week role after the annual fair concludes in August, for the right candidate. 

COMPENSATION
The starting wage for this role will be $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.


WHO CAN APPLY

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Accounts receivable, including revenue processing and tracking using Oracle Peoplesoft software and other tools
  • Prepare deposits and record to appropriate ledgers
  • Create off-system invoices for programmatic areas and maintain tracking spreadsheet
  • Complete bank reconciliations, includes both incoming receipts and balance of outstanding liabilities
  • Audit procurement card (p-card) receipts and documentation to ensure compliance
  • Interact with customers of Wisconsin State Fair Park on payments, questions and balance inquiries, or other topics, as needed
  • Recommend and implement improvements to the internal processes
  • Complete vital office functions, such as sorting mail and answering phone calls
  • Serve as back-up for other office functions during the Annual State Fair, and as needed

  • Experience with accounts receivable practices and procedures
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minor supervision, as well as part of a team
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with all levels of staff, vendors and general public

SPECIAL NOTES
The candidate must be able to work all 11 days of the annual Wisconsin State Fair; for 2024 these dates are August 1 – 11, 2024. Prior to appointment to this position, the candidate may be subject to a comprehensive criminal background check.
