Landscape Foreman/Operations Associate (Graze)

As a Landscape Foreman/Operations Associate for Graze, your primary focus for your first three months will be on 1) providing operational support for our ongoing mowing projects (“pilot programs”) 2) assisting our robotics engineers in day-to-day activities at the robotics lab/warehouse and 3) assisting in executing trade shows, expos, and demonstrations to the public.

You Will:

Pilot Program Operations & Events

  • Manage communication and customer relationships (phone/email) with pilot partners, customers and parties interested in demonstrations

  • Load, secure, and transport Graze robotic mowers, gear, and other landscape equipment to job sites, demos, and potential client properties

  • Operate and document the performance of Graze robotic mowers (training will be provided)

  • Drive different types of vehicles such as pickup trucks and box trucks

  • Plan and prepare for scheduled and frequent overnight work trips to locations up to 4 hours away from Graze headquarters

  • Assist in the planning and execution of events, trade shows, and demonstrations
     

Graze Lab  (training will be provided)

  • Troubleshoot robot issues

  • Test robot for functionality out in the field 

  • Communicate with engineers regarding issues experienced with robots out in the field

  • Assist mechanical and electrical engineers by doing basic tasks, such as parts assembly, picking up parts from fabricators (runner), etc.

  • Assist in organizing tools, parts, and equipment at the lab/warehouse
     

You Have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years of landscaping experience operating mowers, edgers, blowers, and using basic tools such as power tools, hand tools, and simple electrical test equipment

  • Cal/OSHA safety enforcement and training

  • Driving trucks, towing a trailer, and similar equipment 

  • Clean DMV Driving Record

  • Working knowledge of computers and programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift rapidly

  • Good listener, dependable, detail-oriented, organized, ability to work with minimal supervision

  • English (Spanish a plus)
