The District Attorney's staff numbers more than 500 and includes approximately 230 Assistant District Attorneys. There are many opportunities in the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office for individuals committed to public service.

Assistant District Attorney (Entry-Level)
Now accepting applications for our spring 2026 and fall 2026 classes of Assistant District Attorneys.
All law students entering into, or who are currently in their 3L year, law school graduates pending admission to the New York Bar, or attorneys with less than five years of experience practicing criminal law are encouraged to apply.
Assistant District Attorney (Laterals or Experienced Attorneys)
Assistant District Attorneys from other DA offices or attorneys who have practiced criminal law for more than three years are encouraged to apply.
