JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for planning and programming machining sequence for precision machined components varying in size from 12" up to over 100." Work will consist of programming 3, 4 & 5 axis machining centers, horizontal and vertical lathes, and Okuma 5 axis VTL and HMC. Responsible for programming efficient tool paths and working with planning and shop personnel to analyze and improve cycle times on new and existing part programs used on various machine tools. Pay range for this position starts in the low 80's. Offered pay will be based on a person's experience and abilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a machining environment producing programs for larger metal parts.
Minimum 5 year's experience programming for 4 and 5 axis machines for larger, complex parts.
Prior job shop/aerospace experience preferred.
Thorough knowledge of MasterCam. Prior experience utilizing Vericut desired. CATIA knowledge a plus.
Must have knowledge of set-up and CNC machine tools and operations. Trade school or college technical education preferred.
Ability to read and interpret information from prints, factory orders, routings and other internal documentation in hard copy or electronic formats.
Strong problem identification and problem solving skills required.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to meet deadlines.
Must be flexible and adaptable with regard to changing priorities and assignments.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Typical office environment. Some exposure to shop floor environment with noise (under 80 db), dirt, oil and grease. Exposure to air-borne oil/coolant mist and occasionally hazardous chemicals. Position requires individual to be able to sit for prolonged periods of time, utilizing vision, arms, hands and fingers to use a computer. Must be able to climb stairs, travel through shop areas where surfaces may be oily/uneven.
