Expected Hiring Range:  $21 - $28
Both shifts available; evening shifts starts mid afternoon and pays 10% on all wages.

JOB SUMMARY

Working from blueprints, this position is responsible for welding various materials in all positions utilizing primarily flux core and GTAW methods.  Other duties may include minor assembly/deburring/grinding of parts, utilizing a press to straighten material and moving parts via a sit down forklift.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • General welding knowledge and at least 2 years’ experience performing GTAW and FCAW welding.  Formal training may be substituted for experience.
  • Prior experience working on both forged steel and aluminum.  Experience with larger assemblies/parts preferred.
  • AWS certification preferred or must be able to be internally certified
  • Ability to become forklift certified and use an overhead crane
  • Must be able to work overtime regularly and weekends as needed
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and understand instructions 
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to meet deadlines
  • Must be flexible and adaptable with regard to changing priorities and assignments
  • Must be highly safety conscious and work with safety as the number one priority
  • Must be a U.S. Person (Citizen, lawful permanent resident, a protected individual per 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))

WORK ENVIRONMENT
 
Shop floor environment with noise (under 80 db), dirt, oil and grease.  Walking surfaces may be slippery and slip-resistant shoes are required.  Occasional exposure to air-borne oil/coolant mist and hazardous chemicals.  Position requires individual to be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs., to climb in or on large machined parts/elevated tables. Uniforms are provided and required to be worn.  Exposure to hotter/colder temperatures.
