JOB SUMMARY
Join our team as a Technical Communicator to collaborate and create world-class documentation for our ARGO products. In this role, you will be the bridge between our program managers, technical teams, and our customers, ensuring a seamless flow of information. You'll work and collaborate with our Technical Communications team, communicating complex information in clear, accurate, and compelling customer-facing documentation. Your contributions will directly influence successful product implementation, usage, and customer satisfaction.

TIME ALLOCATION
  • Documentation (65–70%) – Write, edit, format, and publish essential product content.
  • Product Collaboration (15–20%) – Work with teams to understand product features and customer needs.
  • Team Collaboration (5–10%) – Align with the Technical Communications team on standards and tools.
  • Admin & Growth (5%) – Participate in meetings and activities that support your development.

EXPECTED WORK AND PERFORMANCE (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
Core Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage documentation projects to meet deadlines.
  • Gather technical information from demos, systems, and team input.
  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Follow ARGO’s style guide and documentation standards.
  • Write and edit content for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Maintain and update documentation libraries.
  • Conduct user analysis and gather feedback.
  • Support interface and writing standards across departments.
  • Perform peer reviews and apply best practices.
  • Use technology tools effectively in daily tasks.

Performance Expectations

  • Quality – Deliver well-written, properly formatted documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical communication, journalism, computer science, English with an emphasis in technical communications, or a related field preferred
  • Experience levels vary by role:
    • Technical Communicator 1: 0–3 years
    • Technical Communicator 2: 3–6 years
    • Senior: 6–10+ years
    • Lead: 6–10+ years with leadership experience
  • Experience creating content for varied technical audiences.
  • Experience in software development environments (required for all except level 1).
  • Familiarity with technical platforms and languages is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and authoring tools like MadCap Flare.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Excellent command of English grammar and usage.
  • Knowledge of technical communication standards.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and organize information.
  • Strong interviewing, listening, and observational skills.
  • Analytical thinking and decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently or in teams with minimal supervision.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE
  • Experience in banking, financial services, or healthcare is a plus.
     
ATTENDANCE/WORK LOCATION
The position is based in our Richardson, TX office. Daily physical presence in the office is required for interaction with co-workers, attending meetings, and for collaboration on projects.
