The Warranty Manager is responsible for communicating with manufacturers, securing replacement parts and repairs for defective merchandise, and obtaining payment or credit for warranty claim items. The warranty manager will oversee all vehicle-related warranties, parts, and components, including ITS systems.

General Duties:
- Plans, organizes, and coordinates the warranty program
- Interprets federal, state, and local guidelines concerning warranty responsibilities.
- Develops contract language/provisions and warranty specifications per Federal, State, and local guidelines and management direction
- Processes and authorizes warranty claims
- Identifies exceptional cases that may result in special agreements with the manufacturer/supplier and completes all required documentation
- Analyzes claims denied by the manufacturer/supplier
- Analyzes and reviews credits and ensures they are correctly accounted for in budget
- Reviews claims to exceed the time frames prescribed by the manufacturer/supplier or which are not processed regularly
- Processes and authorizes bodywork claims
- Provides Finance department with the accounting paperwork
- Develops and monitors procedures for handling failed parts and equipment
- Reviews and approves contractor warranty corrective action proposals and plans
- Advises management of types and causes of failure, including unsafe conditions, and recommends corrective action
- Gathers, interprets, and communicates supplier and contractor warranty guarantees, policies and procedures
- High School diploma and associate degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years in a maintenance-related role.
- A strong background in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience in MUNIS and Spear is preferred
