Schedule: Monday–Friday, with flexibility for month-end close or special projects
Pay Range: $24–30/hour (Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications in line with company pay practices.)
Job Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Lead is responsible for overseeing daily receivable operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all customer billing, collections, and cash application processes. This role provides leadership and guidance to AR team members, supports the Accounting Manager in process improvements, and ensures that all receivable transactions are properly recorded to maintain the integrity of company financials. The position also serves as a key liaison between Accounting, Operations, and Customers to drive timely collections and strengthen customer relationships.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day oversight and training for Accounts Receivable Clerks.
• Assign daily tasks, review work for accuracy, and ensure adherence to internal controls.
• Support new-hire onboarding, cross-training, and ongoing skill development within the AR team.
• Escalate performance or compliance issues to the Accounting Manager as appropriate.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Monitor and manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, payment posting, and collections.
• Review AR aging reports, prioritize collection efforts, and follow up with customers to resolve delinquent accounts.
• Review adjustments, credits, and write-offs in accordance with company policy.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve complex billing discrepancies.
• Prepare weekly and monthly AR reports, including statements, AR aging reports, etc.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and proper documentation.
• Coordinate with Operations to ensure billing accuracy and timely resolution of disputes.
• Maintain AR documentation for audits and assist with external or internal audit requests.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and cash-flow performance.
• Serve as backup for other accounting functions as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes, internal controls, and reconciliation practices.
• Proven leadership and coaching abilities with a focus on accuracy, teamwork, and accountability.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and accounting software systems (e.g., Tri Cloud, QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, or similar).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
• Fluent in both English and Spanish
Education and Experience:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, with at least 2 year in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and high-volume transaction environments preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to traverse warehouse environments to gather documentation or assist with driver remittance when needed.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
