Travel Requirements: Up to 10%
Schedule: Monday-Friday (flexibility for early start times and overtime as needed)
Pay Range: $24.00–$28.00 per hour (Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications in line with company pay practices. The Company reserves the right to adjust compensation based on factors including experience, performance, market conditions, and internal equity, consistent with applicable law.)

Collision Auto Parts, comprised of three entities that operate distribution facilities across California and New Mexico, is a leading value-added distributor of certified and non-certified aftermarket collision repair parts. COL’s product categories include bumper covers, grilles, fender lines, hoods, tail lamps, head lamps and others. Collision Auto Parts utilizes a robust fleet of trucks to deliver parts to customers on a daily basis. Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and hands-on Dispatch Lead to oversee daily delivery operations and support a team of drivers. This role is responsible for coordinating routes, monitoring delivery execution, troubleshooting delivery issues in real time, and ensuring drivers are operating safely and efficiently.
The Dispatch Lead will work closely with the Shipping Manager, warehouse team, and inside sales to ensure deliveries are completed accurately, on time, and in a manner that reflects Collision Auto Parts’ commitment to customer service.
This is a working leadership role and may require driving, loading, or assisting with deliveries during high-volume periods, call-outs, or staffing gaps.
Specifications of Responsibilities
Dispatch and Route Coordination
• Coordinate and dispatch delivery drivers for daily routes and scheduled deliveries
• Review delivery schedules, priority orders, and special delivery requirements
• Adjust routes based on traffic, customer needs, missed deliveries, or urgent requests
• Communicate route updates clearly to drivers throughout the day
• Track delivery progress and follow up on delayed or incomplete deliveries
Driver Leadership and Accountability
• Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and support to delivery drivers
• Ensure drivers understand expectations related to safety, professionalism, and performance
• Assist with onboarding and training for new drivers
• Support corrective action documentation and follow company procedures for discipline when needed
• Promote a positive, team-focused culture and strong communication within the driver group
Customer Service and Issue Resolution
• Serve as a point of contact for delivery issues, including missing parts, damaged parts, or delivery delays
• Work with sales and warehouse teams to resolve delivery problems quickly and professionally
• Ensure proof of delivery is obtained and properly documented
• Escalate customer concerns to leadership when appropriate
Safety, Compliance and Vehicle Oversight
• Ensure drivers follow all traffic laws, company safety rules, and delivery procedures
• Monitor driver conduct and support safe driving practices at all times
• Ensure delivery vehicles are maintained, clean, and organized
• Report vehicle mechanical concerns, accidents, or safety issues immediately
• Assist with incident documentation and follow-up as needed
Hands-On Support and Warehouse Assistance
• Step in to assist with deliveries as needed during staffing shortages or urgent delivery requests
• Assist with staging, loading, and verifying orders for accuracy
• Support warehouse organization and general operational tasks when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Shipping Manager
Qualifications Required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 2 years of delivery driver experience required
• Minimum 2 years of prior dispatch, lead, or supervisory experience
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
• Strong knowledge of local routes and ability to navigate using GPS systems
• Experience using delivery systems, route tools, handheld scanners, or mobile dispatch tools preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead a team with professionalism
• Must be able to read basic English for invoice and delivery documentation purposes
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must pass a background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screening
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles including box trucks (as applicable)
• Ability to work in warehouse and outdoor environments
