Job Description Position Title: Event Center Manager

Job Summary: Hedwig Memorial Hall is in need of an Event Center Manager.  This is a pivotal role in planning, organizing, and executing events within a designated event venue. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage both people and logistics eCectively.

Responsibilities:
1. Event Planning and Coordination:
     a. Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to plan and execute events (such as conferences, weddings, concerts, trade shows, and corporate functions).
     b. Ensure all logistical aspects are in place, including seating arrangements, audio-visual equipment, catering, and decor.
     c. Create event timelines and oversee their execution.
2. Venue Operations:
     a. Manage day-to-day operations of the event center, including maintenance, security, and cleanliness.
     b. Coordinate with maintenance staC to address any facility-related issues promptly.
     c. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and emergency procedures.
3. StaA Management:
     a. Recruit, train, and supervise event staC (ushers, security personnel, ticketing staC, etc.).
     b. Schedule shifts, assign duties, and maintain a positive work environment.
     c. Handle performance evaluations and address any personnel issues.
4. Financial Management:
     a. Develop and manage budgets for events, including cost estimation, revenue projections, and expense tracking.
     b. Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.
     c. Monitor financial performance and adjust strategies as needed.
5. Marketing and Sales:
     a. Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events and attract attendees.
     b. Explore partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and sponsors.
     c. Drive ticket sales and revenue generation.
6. Customer Relations:
     a. Interact with clients, event organizers, and attendees to ensure a positive experience.
     b. Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
7. Logistics and Setup:
     a. Oversee event setup, including arranging seating, staging, lighting, and sound equipment.
     b. Coordinate with external vendors (caterers, decorators, etc.) to meet event requirements.
8. Post-Event Evaluation:
     a. Conduct post-event evaluations to assess successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
     b. Use feedback to enhance future events.

Qualifications:
     • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
     • Proven experience in event management or a similar role.
     • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
     • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
     • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
     • Familiarity with event software and tools (e.g., event management software, ticketing platforms).

Preferred Skills:
     • Knowledge of local regulations related to events (permits, licenses, etc.).
     • Creativity in event design and execution.
     • Flexibility to work irregular hours (including evenings and weekends).
