A classroom teacher supports student learning, growth, and development through their assigned classes and duties and supports and strengthens the mission of Bishop Dwenger High School, to develop “Citizens of Two Worlds” who excel in the areas of spirituality, service, academics, and the active life upholding the Catholic Faith. The Theology teacher brings the Catholic Faith alive for students by teaching the curriculum based on the USCCB frameworks.
**Theology teachers in the Diocese must first go through Carl Loesch for approval before the school.

Responsibilities Include:

Developing a positive, joyful, welcoming, and supportive classroom environment.
Contributing in a positive way to the school environment;
Planning and implementing effective and engaging curriculum, instruction, assessment, and classroom management for assigned classes based upon the USCCB frameworks;
Fulfilling other duties as assigned;
Professional conduct and adherence to all school and Diocesan policies and procedure;
Works cooperatively with colleagues;
Work well in a 1:1/blended learning environment;
Strong Catholic role model for students and be a resource for other curricular areas regarding Church teachings.

Registered, active Catholic
Willing to obtain a Masters in Theology, if one is not currently held
