St Bernard, Wabash - Instructional Aide (Wabash, IN)
St. Bernard is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Instructional Aide to assist our Preschool teacher in creating a stimulating and engaging learning experience for our students. The Instructional Aide will work closely with the teacher to implement daily lesson plans, provide individualized support to students, and maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Preschool teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and activities.
- Provide individualized support to students, including those with special needs.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, playtime, and transitions.
- Prepare and organize classroom materials and supplies.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Assist with student assessments and record-keeping.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that reflects Catholic values.
- Communicate effectively with the teacher, students, and parents.
- Supervise children during snack, lunch, and recess.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A strong commitment to Catholic education and values.
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to follow directions and implement lesson plans.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or CDA (Child Development Associate) preferred.
- Must pass a background check and complete required clearances.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
