Christ the King Catholic School is seeking an engaging, faith-filled Early Childhood Director!
An Early Childhood Director is in charge of managing all aspects of our preschool and
kindergarten programs, from keeping student-to-teacher ratios appropriate to ensuring the
excellence of the curriculum and organizing student enrollment. The position reports to the
pastor and school administration.

Job Responsibilities:
?-? Assisting with observation of teachers and classroom activities
?-? Assisting with hiring and training staff and teachers
?-? Organizing professional development activities
?-? Developing policies and procedures that meet state requirements and communicating
them to support staff and teachers
?-? Managing standards-based curricula for all Early Childhood Programs
?-? Working with staff to communicate with parents and students
?-? Discussing student progress with parents
?-? Managing and assisting with discipline and behavior management
?-? Working with Early Childhood faculty and administrators on the periodic review of
curriculum to ensure consistency within the early childhood unit

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or a bachelor’s degree in a similar discipline with at least 28 credit hours in Early Childhood
Education/Child Development Early Childhood
Leadership, management and organizational skills
Positive references and recommendations
Understanding and acceptance of Catholic school philosophy, goals, and objectives

Salary:
Negotiable based diocesan pay scale and additional stipend
